Printable Case Files sells print-at-home murder mysteries presented as genuine UK police case files. The brief was to make a digital-download shop feel like opening a real evidence file, while handling instant delivery, three difficulty levels and a bespoke-case service, without the constraints a stock Shopify theme imposes on the experience.
We built a fully custom storefront on Shopify Hydrogen, headless React on top of Shopify's commerce backend, giving us total control of the design while Shopify handles checkout, payments and fulfilment. A restrained, procedural identity mirrors real case documentation, with a clear 'buy, print, solve' journey, featured cases and a free sample to lower the barrier to a first purchase, and instant PDF delivery, A4 and US Letter formatting and a custom-case enquiry path all handled in one flow.
