An independent software company from Cornwall

Whealbit builds software and keeps running it. We started out designing websites, and grew into a company that owns and operates its own products.

We began the way most studios do, building websites for local businesses. The more we built, the more we noticed the same problems repeating: spreadsheets holding teams together, commission eating into margins, software that nobody actually owned.

So we started building products of our own. Today WagePilot keeps shifts and wage bills under control for teams that do not sit at a desk, and StayBinder gives holiday-let guests everything they need from a single QR code. We design them, host them, support them and improve them every week.

We still take on client work, and we hold it to the same standard. The difference is that we know what it takes to run software long after launch, because we do it ourselves every day.

What we make

We own and operate a portfolio of SaaS platforms, in daily use by businesses across the UK. Each one started as a problem worth solving properly.

    Owning live products means we feel every bug and every slow page before our customers do. That pressure makes everything we ship better.

    You know the price before we start: one monthly figure for websites, with everything included and updates part of the plan, or a fixed quote for bespoke software. It does not move.

  • Fast is the baseline

    Every site is coded by hand, and we treat page speed as a requirement from the first day of a build.

  • Local and accountable

    We live and work in Cornwall. When you get in touch, you speak to the people who built your software.

Websites for charities, on the house

We design and build websites for registered UK charities, free, and host them free for as long as they need, only high-traffic charities contribute towards hosting. If you run a good cause, the work is on us.
