Privacy policy.
What we collect, why, and what you can do about it. In plain English.
Last updated June 2026
This policy explains how Whealbit handles personal data. We keep it short and honest, because data is a responsibility we take seriously rather than a box to tick.
Who we are
Whealbit is an independent software company based in Penzance, Cornwall, United Kingdom. If you have a question about your data, email info@whealbit.co.uk and a person will answer.
What we collect
- Contact details you send us through a form or by email, such as your name, email address, phone number and a description of your enquiry.
- Basic, privacy-respecting analytics about how the site is used, so we can keep it fast and useful.
- For our platforms, only the data needed to run the service you signed up for, described on each product.
Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
We use your information to reply to you, to provide a service you have asked for, and to run our platforms. The lawful basis is your consent, the performance of a contract with you, or our legitimate interest in running the business honestly. We do not use your data for anything you would not expect.
Where it lives
Your data and the servers it sits on stay inside the UK and the EU. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to what each role genuinely needs. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train models.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we delete it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us at any time to:
- See the data we hold about you
- Get a copy of it in a portable format
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete it, where we are not required to keep it
- Object to how it is used, and withdraw consent
To exercise any of these, email info@whealbit.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum and avoid third-party advertising trackers. Anything beyond what is strictly necessary to run the site is optional.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top. For anything significant, we will make the change clear.
