A print-at-home murder mystery store built as authentic UK police case files, on a headless Shopify Hydrogen storefront with instant PDF delivery and a custom front end tuned to turn browsers into players.
Printable Case Files sells print-at-home murder mysteries presented as genuine UK police case files. The brief was to make a digital-download shop feel like opening a real evidence file, while handling instant delivery, three difficulty levels and a bespoke-case service, without the constraints a stock Shopify theme imposes on the experience.
We built a fully custom storefront on Shopify Hydrogen, headless React on top of Shopify's commerce backend, giving us total control of the design while Shopify handles checkout, payments and fulfilment. A restrained, procedural identity mirrors real case documentation, with a clear 'buy, print, solve' journey, featured cases and a free sample to lower the barrier to a first purchase, and instant PDF delivery, A4 and US Letter formatting and a custom-case enquiry path all handled in one flow.
A distinctive, fast e-commerce experience that sells the fantasy from the first scroll and turns curiosity into instant downloads, with the credibility of a real product rather than a template hobby shop.
Most visitors arrive on a phone, often on a patchy signal. Every page is designed at phone width before anything else, so the first thing a customer sees loads fast and reads clearly with one thumb.
Two directions · Cleaning services
A demonstration brand for a West Cornwall cleaning company, designed twice (an editorial direction and a modern direction) to show how far a single brief can travel.
Rebuild · Cleaning services
A growing cleaning business had outgrown its first website. We rebuilt it from the ground up to look the part and bring in enquiries.
New customers acquired from the website
We design and build your homepage first, on a private link, before you pay anything. If you like it, it is £60 a month with £0 up front.
